My reason…I lost my Sweet Momma to a hard and fast 2 month battle against stage 4 metastatic breast cancer on 7/31/25. Although all odds were against her, she gave her all to fight the cancer devil off. She was only 66 years young leaving her beloved husband of 44 years, 3 daughters, 3 son-in-laws, and 4 grand babies absolutely heartbroken! I know my family isn’t alone, dealing with the grief of losing a loved one to cancer. I know I’m not alone feeling hopeless to help others dealing with their cancer battles, their families, and finding a cure! So when this challenge popped up on my social media, I thought now this is something I can do! I'm running 100 miles to help the American Cancer Society fight for a world without cancer. I hope I can make my Mom, pink warriors, and all other cancer patients, survivors, and angels proud of the strides I’m making to do my part.
