Hello, this is Rumi. Rumi is a 3-year old lab-collie mix who lives in Providence, Rhode Island. His mom, Tiffany, is a Cardiology fellow (meaning she is overworked and underpaid). Earlier this week, Rumi was feeling his usual goofy, silly, happy self, when he suddenly began having a seizure. Like any loving pet mom, Tiffany rushed him to the nearest veterinary hospital. Unfortunately, things only became more terrifying from this point. Rumi then lost his sight and his ability to move his legs. Doctors performed imaging of his brain and found what they believe is a tumor. Rumi is still fighting his hardest to come out of this awful situation, and return home to his doting mom.

However, emergency hospital bills are piling up. We are asking for donations to fund Rumi's treatment, so that his mom can be with him as much as possible, rather than picking up extra shifts to afford his treatments. To know Rumi is to know the unconditional love of the sweetest, goodest boy. As one pet parent to another, I hope we can unite as a community to show support during this heartbreaking time, and do all we can to help Rumi and Tiffany through. We greatly appreciate any and all support, and will update this page as we are able to.
