Hi all,
Recently our Rugby coach, brother, son, and friend, Spencer Parrish, suddenly came down with a severe bout of covid. Unfortunately, due to the severity of the case, Spencer had to be put into a medically induced coma in order to be put on a ventilator. His lungs are currently 75% affected but the good news is that he seems to be recovering. He is currently still under due to an error with his ventilator tube. They are hopeful that they will be able to wake him up soon.
Spencer is a recent graduate of Hampden-Sydney College. He completed his 4 years there with a Major in History and a Minor in Rhetoric. During his education, he was deeply invested in the Rugby team and various other clubs that he helped to grow and prosper. His contributions to the H-SC community cannot be overstated. He help found several clubs and was a two year captain of the Rugby team.
Currently, Spencer is working for his Alma Mater in the Office of Student Affairs where he continues to improve the lives of his brothers and the college as a whole. Spencer also serves as the new coach for the Rugby team. He is passionate about music, history, and the rich fabric of Appalachian and Southern culture.
We are asking for donations to help with his recovery. His prognosis looks promising and we are looking forward to seeing him recover. We are putting together a fund to help ease this unexpected and expensive financial burden that has been placed on Spencer and his family.
Every little bit helps and we are extremely grateful for any donations!
