It’s with immense sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Ru.

She was light, laughter, and love. A beautiful daughter, sister, and a devoted mum who touched so many hearts.

In keeping her Shona tradition of Chema (tears). Chema is a way for us, her loved ones near and far, to come together, give what we can, and show our support. It’s how we express our love, share in the grief, and honour Ru’s beautiful life.

It’s a way for us to honour her roots and stand in solidarity with Ru’s beautiful family. We’ve set up a Chema account to show Mama (Amai Ru), Tanaka, Mukai, and her boys that they’re not alone and that Ru was truly, deeply loved.
