Carl Ruiz suddenly left this earth on September 21, 2019. Carl was one of the most talented chefs of his generation. His knowledge of culinary preparations and cuisines from around the world was unrivaled. His talents could be seen on the Food Network on Guy’s Grocery Games or Guy’s Kitchen Ranch or in any of the many the many restaurants he owned both for himself and for others over the years. He was also a sage when it came to watches, cars, fine wine, and most notably enjoying life in the moment and those around him. He showcased that on the pod cast he did with Greg Hughes aka Opie. Carl’s sense of humor and quick wit made him the guy everyone wanted to know and spend time with. And if Carl was your friend he was all in! His friends and family are creating a foundation to honor his memory and his passions. The foundation will be called #ruizingforacause and will support culinary education and seeking a cure for Alzheimer’s. Two causes Carl was tied and who will benefit from your generosity.
