Ruiz family home fire

Hi, I am making this gofundme to help a friend, Yessenia Ruiz, whose family home in Waukegan caught fire last night. Thankfully nobody was home at the time and everyone is ok but they lost EVERYTHING, including their dog, Chuck, and 2 birds. As you can imagine this is completely devastating. Please Share my story. On Friday around 5pm in Waukegan IL I got home from work, my family’s house was on fire. I’m using this video from a tik tok creator since she capture the scene. Since everyone is asking what happen I don’t know how the fire started.. I was the first responder to go in the house and assume my family was in there. I yelled to see if anyone was home but the flames grew larger and I was trapped in a cloud of smoke and flames behind me. unfortunately sadly to say my dog Chuck passed away. And two birds my mom had in the dining/ Living room. My whole family is ok physically but very other state, mentally, financially we’re not. luckily they weren’t there. Today was my brothers birthday they were at the store getting everything ready for Christmas Eve. My sister and brother in law arrived at the scene. They helped us with communication with firefighters and calm us down. Especially me. We did checked out to the hospital since we were outside absorbing all the carbon monoxide, by being outside. Sadly we lost everything… My family only has there clothes on there back and a few groceries…everything from documents, old photos, furniture, laptop, EVERYTHING since we were little. we had this house since i was 8 years old. We are devastated, drained and still wished it was just a nightmare. We don’t usually ask for help but please we need all the help and support we can from the community, churches family, friends.
