Ruiz Family Fire Recovery

On January 28th, 2018, the Ruiz family (Angel, Alma, Matias, Yahir, Xavier, Julia, and Camila) were victims of a devastating house fire.
Thankfully, the family is safe and uninjured, but they lost nearly everything in the fire, including their beloved family dog, They were renting the home and did not have renter’s insurance. We are working to try to salvage some of their clothing but it’s likely most will be lost. This family of 7 is literally starting from scratch. A family friend is providing the family with a temporary place to stay until they are able to find another rental.
We had the privilege of meeting the Ruiz family through our high school soccer program. My son plays soccer with Matias and Yahir year-round and we have grown very close to the boys and their parents over the years. They are a very hard-working family whose faith and determination will get them through this difficult time. ALL funds donated to this campaign will be given directly to the Ruiz family.
Please help us raise funds to help this amazing family secure housing and basic necessities as they work to rebuild their lives. Every little bit helps!
