I’m starting this memorial fundraiser in loving memory of our dad, Rui.

He had been unwell with Flu A, and even though he started feeling better for a couple of days, he unfortunately passed in his sleep in the early hours of the 2 December 2025.

Our dad was an extraordinary man. A drummer, designer, marketer, programmer, photographer, editor. A son, brother, father and grandfather.

The vacuum left by this loss is immense. We’re left with memories and jokes and laughter that can only be heard in audios or videos and is no longer at the end of a text or a phone call.

Rui touched many lives. We ask that you share any stories, photos, chats or videos that we’ll help us forever remember our dad - and that we can pass on to our children, still too young to understand that Rui is gone.
