Help Jamie beat cancer

Donation protected
Hello my name is Jamie. Back in June, I started having excruciating pain in my abdomen and it lasted for two months. I had to go back and forth to the hospital because they couldn’t understand what was causing me that much pain. I did x-rays, mri, pelvic biopsy and CT scan of my chest, abdomen and pelvic area.

In August, I was diagnosed with stage 4 Endometrial cancer, and they found a large mass sitting on top of my uterus. They also found small nodules in my lungs that were suspicious. So my oncologist advised me to start chemotherapy right away before they do surgery to remove the mass, including my uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and cervix (all my reproductive organs). Also to make sure to prevent it from spreading and metastasizing.

Before I started my treatment I made the decision to resign from my job because I couldn’t tolerate the pain at that time, and also so that I can focus on my treatment and my health.

Meanwhile, when my mom learned about my diagnosis, she was devastated. She lost her job from the pandemic, & now because of my situation she had no choice but to retire so that she can help take care of me while I go through my treatment and recovery. I’m very grateful that she’s here with me in this journey to support me in every way she could as a single mother. Her strength and presence gave me hope to fight. But it has put a lot of burden on both our finances and stress on paying rent/living expenses and my medical bills.

After 3 cycles of chemo, my CT scan showed that my lung nodules shrunk, which prompted my doctor to approve my surgery last Nov. The surgery was successful and now my wound is almost healed. I did my 4th cycle and I have 2 more chemo cycles to go & CT scan afterwards. I’ve been on a roller coaster ride of emotions, & by far this is the hardest thing I’ve had to go through physically & mentally. But I realized I have so much strength in me & I believe in my heart that I will beat this & I will feel like a new person on the other side of this battle.

Going through all these, we are financially struggling to pay for my medical bills because chemo treatments are expensive on top of surgery, hospital tests/visits. Any amount of money you can donate will be appreciated. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide whether it’d be in a form of prayer, financial, mental/emotional support. Thank you to my family and friends for all the prayers, love, and support.

Update 12/27/21: I’m currently getting my 5th round of chemo as I write this. I’m doing good so far! I’m just watching and listening to my favorite group BTS and they help me relax and smile. 5 cycles down , 1 more cycle to go!
