Campaign: Free Face Masks for Healthcare, Frontline, Community & Volunteer groups
You may be aware of Azzurri Sport Ltd as a supplier of GAA merchandise. We are a family-owned Irish business based in Waterford, with a dedicated team behind us. To help in the fight against Covd-19 we took the decision to move into the manufacture of non-surgical face masks for front line healthcare staff.
So far, we have produced and distributed 8,000 free face masks to the healthcare community, working in a non-surgical environment. However, in order to continue the production of a lighter, washable, reusable face mask for use in all non-surgical environments, we are relying on your support.
Why is this important to us?
Non-surgical face masks are integral in reducing the spread of transmission of Covid-19 and allow us to play our part in flattening the curve. We are dedicated to continuing the manufacture and distribution of free face masks so our front line healthcare staff can stay safe while they perform heroic acts.
In the last two weeks, we have delivered 8,000 free face masks to:
· University Hospital Waterford
· Crumlin Hospital
· Whitfield Clinic
· Waterford Nursing Home
· Dungarvan Community Hospital
And many, many more just like this!
We are also committed to providing free masks to volunteer organisations, community groups, carers and nursing homes, those that so many of us rely on to care for our families, our elderly relatives, and our loved ones. We have already supplied organisations such as Meals on Wheels, TUSLA, Red Cross, Surprise Surprise, and Waterford Food bank with over 500 masks. We hope to continue to supply them so their teams of volunteers can continue to perform their important work over this period.
Our target will enable us to cover production costs to produce 20,000 masks in the next month, which will be distributed to these vital personnel carrying out extraordinary tasks.
