Once upon a time, there was a happy couple named Jeff and Talia, who loved their furry companion Rufus more than anything in the world. Rufus was a playful and loving dog who was always wagging his tail and bringing joy to those around him.

One day, Jeff and Talia's lives took a big turn as they welcomed a new member to their family, a beautiful baby girl named Astrid. As they were in the hospital, they made sure to give Rufus the best care possible while they were away. So, they took him to Doggy Daycare to be taken care of while they were away.

However, little did they know that Rufus would contract a mild case of kennel cough while he was there. Despite their best efforts, over the weeks, the kennel cough progressed into pneumonia. The treatment wasn't working as well as they had hoped and the costs of Rufus's care were adding up fast.

When Jeff and Talia came home with Astrid, Rufus came home with them and the added stress of a new family member added to his already weakened state. With the string of less than stellar luck was putting Jeff and Talia in an unfortunate situation where everything was coming at them at once to start off 2023. They were looking to raise any funds at all to help offset the costs of care, which were estimated to be north of $10,000.
