Rufino Salgado's Funeral Expenses

Hi, my name is Ruby Montes De Oca. I grew up with and have been a long-time friend of the Salgado family. It is with great sadness and complete disbelief that we share the news of the passing of Rufino Salgado or as many called him “Don Rufis”.

Don Rufino fell ill and was hospitalized last week Friday, and within days we lost him. Don Rufino left us Sunday night, March 13, 2022.

Don Rufino left behind 6 children and 6 grandchildren. He was welcoming to all and very kind-hearted, always supporting others as much as he could.

At this time, we are asking for any kind of financial support that friends, supporters, and associates can offer to help ease the financial cost for the Salgado family from this unexpected passing. The money will be used for funeral service expenses and arrangements.

For everyone who would like to extend their condolences and pay their respects, the funeral services will be held at Logan Square Funeral Home (2708 N Western Ave • Chicago, IL 60647) on Thursday, March 17, 2022. We welcome family only from 4:00-5:00 pm and will be open to the public from 5:00-7:00 pm.

Hola mi nombre es Ruby Montes De Oca. Me crié y he sido amiga de mucho tiempo de la familia Salgado. Con gran tristeza y completa incredulidad compartimos la noticia del fallecimiento de Rufino Salgado o como muchos lo llamaban “Don Rufis”.

Don Rufino se enfermó y fue hospitalizado la semana pasada el viernes y a los pocos días lo perdimos. Don Rufino se nos fue la noche del domingo 13 de marzo de 2022.

Don Rufino dejó 6 hijos y 6 nietos. Era una persona muy amable, siempre apoyando a los demás tanto como podía.

En este momento, estamos solicitando cualquier tipo de apoyo financiero que amigos, simpatizantes y asociados puedan ofrecer para ayudar a aliviar el costo financiero para la familia Salgado por este fallecimiento inesperado. El dinero se utilizará para los gastos y arreglos del servicio funerario.
