Help Support Those Affected by the Ruffy Fires

My family and community in Ruffy, Victoria have been devastated by the recent Longwood Fires.

Our hearts are heavy as we watch the impact of the fires on Ruffy and our surrounding communities. This has quickly become a life changing event for many of us, destroying our homes, land, livelihoods, animals and wildlife, and placing enormous strain on local families and emergency services.

Anyone who has visited Ruffy knows it’s a close knit community where people look out for one another. Right now, we’re facing loss, uncertainty, and the long road to recovery. Some of us have lost our homes and belongings, others are unable to return safely, and many are dealing with the emotional toll that comes with such devastation.

This fundraiser has been created to help provide immediate and ongoing on-ground support to our community. All funds raised will go directly to those affected by the Ruffy fires and give practical assistance such as emergency accommodation, food and supplies, replacing essential items, supporting local recovery efforts, and helping families begin to rebuild our lives.
