Ru-El Sailor's Homecoming

In 2003, the unimaginable happened to Ru-El Sailor. Ru-El was sentenced to 28 years to life for a murder he did not commit. For 15 years Ru-El maintained his innocence and fought for his freedom. Finally, with the help of his family, attorney Kimberly Kendall Corral, Ohio Innocence Project Attorney Jennifer Bergeron, Cuyahoga County Conviction Integrity Unit, and University of Cincinnati Law students, Ru-El's murder conviction was vacated on March 28, 2018 .

Many wrongfully convicted people do NOT receive compensation from the state.  Ru-El was released from prison with just the clothes on his back.  We are raising money to help him get a solid start in his new life of freedom.  He needs clothes, toiletries, a phone, basically everything.  Every dollar donated will be gratefully used for this purpose.

Thank you!
