Baby McCaskill's Cord Blood Banking

Donation protected
Our family is excited to welcome our second daughter in June 2015.  When our first daughter, Harper, was born, we instantly knew that we would bank her cord blood.   Thanks to the generous gifts of others, we were able to do so.

As a family, we know first hand the struggles that come with chronic illness; yet, there are also so many medical advances that give us hope.  Stem cells from newborn cord blood are currently used in the treatment of over 80 diseases and this list is rapidly growing.  In fact, clinical trials are currently underway for the treatment of Type 1 Diabetes--which Tyler has had since 2007, and for which our children could have a genetic predisposition.

Banking our second daughter's cord blood would mean that we would have stem cells in reserve for the possible treatment of her, or a family member's, illness.  Any amount raised above our goal will be applied to yearly storage fees.
