Hi, my name is Robyn and I’m raising funds for my son Lucas, to help him with costs of vet bills to save his beautiful cat, Rudy.

Rudy is not quite two years old, and has been Lucas’ constant companion since he moved by himself to Melbourne to attend Uni.

Rudy is a sweet, loving little cat who was rescued after being discovered in a wall cavity as a very small kitten.

In the last few weeks, Rudy has been experiencing some health issues and was originally diagnosed with lymphoma. However, new testing has revealed that he does not have lymphoma, but a very damaged kidney.

Now he is having urgent surgery tomorrow (12 November) to remove the damaged kidney.

Lucas is a Uni student who is working part time to support himself, but the unexpected vet bills are mounting up. Just to diagnose Rudy has already cost approximately $4000 in vets bills and the kidney removal surgery tomorrow is going to cost $6500.

Rudy has been on high doses of painkillers for two weeks now, and his recovery from surgery will take approximately 10 days. Hopefully after this, Rudy will get to live a long, happy and healthy life with Lucas!
