Edit: For the sake of transparency, Rudra's Go Fund Me was originally created by Ms. Corinne Boulos, one of his former teachers at Biscayne Elementary. She then transferred the account to me, Raveena Patel, solely for editing purposes so I could continue to update it as I am a close family friend. This page has also been officially verified by Go Fund Me - donors can be assured that every single penny will go directly to Rudra's family.
The following description was written by Ms. Boulos:
Dear family and friends, yesterday morning we lost a beloved son, friend and student of Biscayne Elementary Community School in a tragic accident. Rudra Bhatt was a 14-year-old student that was on his way back home from volunteering at his old middle school when he collided with a pickup truck at an intersection in Miami Beach. This was a fatal and unfortunate accident that took the life of an amazing young boy. Rudra was one of the most caring and loving students that I've had the opportunity to work with.
In his 14 years on this earth he has brightened so many lives and touched so many. Even after he left Biscayne Elementary he continuously came back every summer to help his past teachers set up for the upcoming school year. He volunteered with our afterschool program as student mentor and to teach chess. Rudra was an exceptional student, role model, and son that left us way too soon. Everyday he went out of his way to help others, as did his family. This family is very special and dear to our heart and is part of our family at Biscayne. The Bhatt family has always gone above and beyond to support our school throughout their son's time at our school and continues to provide amazing support. Now it is time for us to show support to this amazing family, who have always been great supporters of our school.
We would like to help them with the financial burden of losing a loved one. Any financial contributions you could provide to help our friends in this time of need would be greatly appreciated.
Losing a loved one is never easy and support at this time means the world to anyone who has lost someone so dear. Please continue to keep this family lifted in your prayers.
Thank You.
