Rucola is unable to operate in a regular capacity, which means our hourly team is unable to earn wages or tips. While businesses are attempting to find creative solutions to COVID-19, this condition still leaves our staff—including our beloved dishwashers, bartenders, servers, cooks, the backbone of the restaurant—with nothing.
For more than nine years, Rucola, largely thanks to our dedicated staff, has built a community of regulars, neighbors, and friends. Whether you rely on us for weekday country breakfasts at the bar with John, lunchtime chats with Liz, or late night chocolate puddings and Lambruscos with Kevin, Lucas, and of course, the weekend gals (+Tucker), you know we'll always be there for a recommendation or a chat.
Just as Rucola may be a second home for you, it's also a second home to those who work hard each day and night to prepare your meals, recommend a good bottle of wine, or fix you the perfect drink. Together, we've formed unbelievably strong bonds, coming together when wait times were running long, on nights that never seemed to end, to ensure that you have the best meal possible. Rucola is a place we keep coming back to because you keep coming back. By returning night after night and day after day, you make our jobs easier. It's our goal that you feel like a neighbor, that every trip to Rucola is like a stroll onto the set of Cheers.
During this time, we ask you to give what you can. While you can't have a seat at our beautiful restaurant, you can help us out so that we're able to keep our staff secure, stable, and healthy until we're all able to meet again, New Riders in hand, under the glow of the mason jar chandelier, at the communal table.
