Hello friends and family,
My name is Traci Lynch and on January 20, 2015, I was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer with two-thirds of my rectum blocked. The cancer had spread to my liver and over 20 lesions and two tumors were found. This diagnosis was totally unexpected as I had a colonoscopy in September 2013 in which a polyp was removed and the test results came back benign. And now, less than 18-months later, I am in the fight of my life.
During my first visit with the oncologist I was informed that I would need immediate radiation therapy, along with chemo pill, to arrest the cancer growth. I successfully completed radiation in March, but am still undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatments. My treatments are administered bi-weekly over a 48-hour period. Because of the aggressive treatment, I am unable to work a few days each week and have exhausted my leave. This has taken a major toll on me financially.
I have a strong relationship with Jesus and I lean on Him for strength every day to help me through this battle! I know there is nothing that God can’t do!! I encourage myself daily to fight and beat this cancer.
The blockage in my colon is no longer there so now the focus is on the removal of the tumors and lesions on my liver. God is amazing!
