Ruck for VA Fallen Firefighters

September 11, 2001 was the most devastating terrorist attack in the history of the United States. It was also the deadliest day in the history of the fire service. 343 FDNY firefighters lost their life that day. On this coming September 11th, myself along with 25 or so of my fellow firefighters will be paying tribute to them by completing the ultimate team building event. This (at least) 12 hour endurance event will push us both mentaly and physically as a special forces soldier pushes us past our individual breaking points and we will have to come together as a team to succeed. This event will take place in Suffolk. The purpose of this gofundme is to raise the money for the event. However, I have set the goal WELL above the money needed so that any extra funds raised can be donated to Virginia Fallen Firefighters Foundation. This foundation assists the families of first responders who have lost a loved one in the line of duty. Every year in the US, the majority of line of duty deaths that occur are the result of sudden cardiac events. We feel this event will serve several purposes; promoting firefighter health and wellness, remembering those who paid the ultimate price on 9/11 and raising money for a good cause. Every donation, no matter how small will get us closer to our goal. Thanks for your support!
