Hello, my name is Ali, and this is my first time ever asking for help like this. But I’m reaching out from the heart—for my beloved rabbit, Ruby.
Three years ago, I adopted Ruby and bonded her with my male bunny, Winter. Since then, they’ve been inseparable—sharing bananas, snuggling, chasing each other, and giving each other endless kisses. They are truly soulmates in bunny form.
Recently, I noticed something alarming: Ruby was grinding her teeth harshly and moving her jaw strangely—signs that rabbit owners know too well as silent cries of pain. As prey animals, rabbits instinctively hide their pain, so any visible signs are serious.
I rushed her to Montville Animal Hospital in NJ, where the vet gave me heartbreaking news. Ruby has severe dental issues—her molars are severely overgrown and need to be filed down under anesthesia. The vet told me it was one of the worst cases she had seen.
Without this surgery, Ruby will continue to suffer in silence. She will slowly lose herself. I’m doing everything I can, but the cost of the procedure is beyond what I can manage right now. I’ve included the cost of the surgery in one of the slides, with being anywhere from $859-1300.55
That’s why I’m humbly asking for your help.
The goal is $1300 to cover:
• Dental surgery and anesthesia
• Medications and follow-up care
• Possible future treatments
If you’ve ever loved a pet like family, you know how heartbreaking it is to see them in pain. Every donation—big or small—brings Ruby one step closer to healing and being her happy, snuggly self again.
Even if you can’t donate, sharing this story would mean the world to me.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
-Ali
