Hello~ my name is Brenda, and Ruby is my 10 year old Pomeranian (the bestest of my best and first puppylove of all time!!).

On February 2nd, Ruby woke up so lathargic and was squealing everytime anyone came close to her or touched her. I had originally thought maybe she had eaten something she wasn't suppose to so I switched her immediately to a bland diet. We brought her to the vet the next day, got a check up done and x-rays. The vet sent us home with gabapentin and metacam after explaining it could either be her spine, arthritis or both.

A week later, she seemed at least a bit better however I noticed her back legs couldn't hold well even though she had the medicine administered. We were back at the vet for a follow up. He then told me she has luxating patella on both knees, one much worse than the other but she must do the surgery. My heart broke realizing how much pain she was in while she was acting all dandy this entire time

With her being a little old lady, I want to do everything in my power to make sure she lives the rest of her days comfortably and happy.

The vet had mentioned it will be approximately $3080+taxes each leg as long as her ligaments aren't torn on top of that either plus the blood work and her follow up x-rays and appointments. She has level 4 laxation patella in her right leg and level 3 in her left. She had just recently gotten dental surgery November 2024 which already threw us for about $2000. I have just left my job due to my deteriorating mental health from my previous employer and I have to take care of the bills for our home and my senior mother as well. Now I'm looking for every way, side hustles and all to dig our way out of everything to ensure Ruby is alive and well at the end of all of this!!!

100% of the funds will go to covering Ruby's medical bills.
