This is Carri writing my daughter Ruby's story. She has been struggling for months, actually years with symptoms of vomiting and headaches. She has been toughing it out, believing that the pain was her normal. She went to the emergency room numerous times, only to feel dismissed that the pain was anxiety or tension headaches. The last time she went to the ER, on November 30th, 2023, she advocated for herself and insisted on a head scan. Again the doctor was dismissive stating that nothing generally shows up on the scans. She held her ground. The doctor came back shortly to deliver the news that they found a tumor in her brain. She was alone.

Fast forward to today, it is Saturday, two days before her surgery. Ruby has been feeling the love of her friends, family, and colleagues. She is extremely grateful for the kinship and support. There has been an abundance of love coming from online, in person, through prayers, and positive vibes. Each action that you all take is felt and appreciated 100 fold. We thank you dearly.

This fund is being set up because of requests from others, who have asked to help her with medical costs and costs of living. The money will go only to Ruby to cover such costs. Any donation that you see fit is a blessing and we are truly humbled.
