Ruby's Fund and Astbury Golf Club
Donation protected
A group of us at Astbury Golf Club thought it would be a great idea to raise funds for the Captains Charity based in Congleton called Ruby's and to support the Range Development Fund at Astbury Golf Club by taking on a 54 hole challenge - 3 rounds of golf in one day!
The Captain, Mark Perry and Lady Captain, Estelle Walker chose Ruby's this year as their Captain's Charity. Ruby's helps to support children between 0-18 years old with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. They offer high-quality facilities at their Congleton centre, partner venues, and mobile sensory bus. Their dedicated team of staff and volunteers provide person-centred support, using their wide range of knowledge, expertise, and lived experience. They aim to improve the quality of life and wellbeing for individuals and groups in Cheshire East with complex and vulnerable needs.
We also thought it would be a good idea to do a joint effort raising money for Ruby's as well as the range project at Astbury Golf Club. The club see this as an additional revenue stream in the future and need help funding the start up of this project. This will help the club prosper over the years to come so that future generations can also enjoy the club that so many of you are connected to.
In order to raise funds, we're looking at playing 54 holes in one day on the 30th May 2025. 24 are set to take part to make it a fun and memorable day and evening as we all celebrate afterwards in the clubhouse! Feel free to join us in the evening!
