Help Us Honor Ruby’s Memory

Hello,
My name is Wendy, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart. On January 4th, I had to make the most difficult decision of my life—letting my sweet 6-month-old kitten, Ruby, go to sleep after a devastating battle with severe seizures and blindness. Ruby was my world, my light, and the most loving companion I could ever ask for.
Ruby’s journey was heartbreaking and filled with challenges, yet we did everything possible to give her the care she needed. On January 1st, she began showing signs of distress—drooling, stiffness, and later, blindness. We rushed her to multiple emergency hospitals, seeking answers. After an MRI and extensive bloodwork, no cause was found for her sudden symptoms. Despite the best efforts of the veterinarians, Ruby’s condition worsened.
On January 4th, she began having repeated seizures, which left her little body in pain and unable to move. We made the agonizing decision to help her rest peacefully, as it was clear that she was suffering. She passed in my arms, surrounded by love, and not a moment goes by where I don’t feel her absence.
Ruby’s medical expenses quickly escalated beyond what we could afford. Between the MRI, tests, medications, and ER visits, we accumulated over $8,000 in bills. We’ve been working hard to pay these off, but we’re still left with $5,000 of outstanding debt.
It is incredibly difficult for me to ask, but I’m turning to this community for help. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward covering Ruby’s medical bills. Your kindness will help ease this financial burden and allow me to focus on cherishing Ruby’s memory without the overwhelming stress of debt.
Ruby was a beautiful soul who brought immense joy and love into my life. She deserves to be remembered with dignity, and I know she touched the hearts of everyone who met her. If you can donate, share this page, or keep Ruby in your thoughts, it would mean the world to me and my family.
Thank you for taking the time to read Ruby’s story. Please keep her in your prayers as she watches over us as a sweet little angel.
With heartfelt gratitude, Wendy ️
