Hi I'm Belinda
My cat Ruby requires urgent surgery to remove her right eye. This surgery is going to cost over £700 and unfortunately, due to the fact that I haven't been able to work for nearly two years, my personal finances arent in great shape just now.
I closed my cattery business two years ago as I had put my house on the market. I was struggling with the isolation and remoteness of this location, and then on top of the stress of trying to sell the house, in July 2024 I broke my wrist.
The hospital didn't reset the bones correctly, which caused me to have little to no use of my dominant right hand and be in chronic pain 24/7 for over ten months. This in turn lead to a rapid decline in my mental health.
I fought for the hospital to carry out surgery on my wrist and finally they operated in April this year, however I still do not have a fully functioning right hand and still live with pain every day. I decided to take the house off the market last month after no luck selling it for two years.
I have just reopened the cattery to try and recoup some money after two years without work or any income.
The uptake on bookings for the cattery is very slow at the moment, and I currently really cannot afford such a massive outlay of money to pay for my darling Ruby's eye surgery, which she urgently needs to remove her eye.
Please would you consider donating, even £5?, to ease the financial predicament I find myself in, through no fault of my own? I'm proud to say I've never been in debt before and I don't want to start now.
But my animals are my family, who keep me going on my own. They are EVERYTHING to me. Thank you.
