Ruby’s Cancer Charity Fundraiser
0% complete
£3,730 raised of
153 donations
Hello, My little sister (Ruby) is 17 years old, and loves to play football, she plays in goal and is in the Plymouth Argyle Post 16 team. Ruby has recently been diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma in her knee. At first we all thought it was a sports injury, as she plays a lot of football, but after further scans and a biopsy, they realised it was this very rare form of cancer. Unfortunately that means she cant play football for the foreseeable future, and a chance she might not even be able to play again after this. Ruby has just started 6 months worth of treatment, which is going to be a tough journey for especially her and also people around her. We all know that things could get harder, but we also know Ruby has the best people to call her friends, who are always offering any support they can, and we know they will be with her and us every single step of the way. As a family, we want to raise awareness for this, and for it to reach as many people as possible. We are going to organise a Charity Football Match for her( Date to be confirmed), she loves her football, and try and raise as much awareness as we can. With the money that is donated, half of it will go to Plymouth Football BootBank, as they are very kindly helping us set this all up, and the other half of the money that is donated, will go to a charity of Rubys choice, which will be Teenage Cancer Trust. We would appreciate it so so much if you could share this about to people, and will forever be grateful
