Funeral Expenses For Ruby-Jean

On June 10, 2017,  My family experienced the tragic loss of our mother, Ruby Jean Witherspoon . We would like to honor our mom for all that she did throughout our lives by giving her a proper and respectful home going service. Throughout our lives our mother was always there for us, always encouraging and guiding us to be the best possible people we can be. She taught us to be strong but humble - direct yet respectful. She was an incredible parent to 8 kids, grandmother of 32 and great-grandmother of 5. However she was also Mom, Grandma, "Auntie” and "Ms. Ruby" to more than just her biological children.

Both our family and extended family will miss her dearly. From the interesting stories of her youth growing up in in Mississippi to her very unique "Ruby-isms".  It was impossible not to love “Ms. Ruby”. She always greeted people with a huge smile and her larger than life personality, she was not a quiet or timid woman by any means. Whether she was out with friends or chatting with a neighbor, she was always in a good mood and was never afraid to speak her mind. Any day that included an interaction with Ruby—even if only a brief one--was better as a result.

My mom made us laugh until we cried and gave us the fortitude to stand strong in any situation but her unexpected passing has left us weakened and lost. We ask that you keep us in your prayers,
