Both our family and extended family will miss her dearly. From the interesting stories of her youth growing up in in Mississippi to her very unique "Ruby-isms". It was impossible not to love “Ms. Ruby”. She always greeted people with a huge smile and her larger than life personality, she was not a quiet or timid woman by any means. Whether she was out with friends or chatting with a neighbor, she was always in a good mood and was never afraid to speak her mind. Any day that included an interaction with Ruby—even if only a brief one--was better as a result.
My mom made us laugh until we cried and gave us the fortitude to stand strong in any situation but her unexpected passing has left us weakened and lost. We ask that you keep us in your prayers,
please share your stories and support her wishes in any way you can.
To help us in our effort to celebrate her vibrant life in a manner suitable to the impact she made in her short 66 years. Please donate.
The viewing, repass and funeral for Ruby will be held at
Walker Memorial Baptist Church
120 E. 169th Street, Bronx, NY 10452
Friday, June 23th, 2017
starting at 4pm
