Ruby's fundraiser for Team USA expenses

My name is Ruby Patrick aka Ruby Slip-Hers. My dad and I are raising money to help cover the expenses for Team USA, which includes travel,  hotels, uniforms, and other derby related expenditures. I've been skating since I was 9-years-old, so almost 7 years. The moment I lined up to jam for my first bout as a Rose Petal, I knew derby wasn't just a hobby for me. Rollerderby has taught me confidence and the importance of cooperation. I've skated for the jr Voodoo Dolls, PJRD, Westside Derby Brigade, and most recently the Rose Buds All-Stars. Rollerderby has always been there for me and I'm sticking with it. I'm thankful for all of the support from athletes, coaches, and peers I've received over the years. I can't imagine not being apart of the derby community, family, and teams. Last month, I found out I made JRDA Team USA female division, which is an opportunity I'm extremely grateful for! I'll get the chance to improve and work together with many talented athletes representing our country and other teams worldwide. I have three practices with my teammates before world championships in Saskatchewan, Canada, August 2020 and I'm hoping to reach my goal from fundraising before May.
