Ruby Josefa Martinez was born on
February 5, 1982 to Junee “Carmen” Peneux
and Peniel Martinez in New York City.

During the day of January 16, 2021, the
unexpected took the sparkle of her life.
Ruby could have been anything in life, but
destiny pulled her in different places. The day Ruby died, a part of us died along with her. We will miss her everyday for the rest of our lives.

Ruby was a beautiful and intelligent child who somehow fell in the grip. She was strong, but
soft-spoken. She loved her family deeply, and wanting to see her Mother who passed for a
second chance

Ruby knew how to draw, write poetry, and
rap a song—she was talented. Ruby enjoyed
being with her friends....

The memory of our beloved Ruby, her bright
timid smile, quick to temper, but sunny
disposition will never be forgotten.
Our broken hearts will forever feel the loss
and emptiness of her absence.

Ruby was a daughter, sister, grand-daughter,
niece and friend. Ruby now is at peace.

All donations will go to funeral expenses. 

Our family will like to thank everyone for
their condolences and thoughtful words. As
you can imagine losing a daughter, or sister
can be extremely difficult. So please continue
