Ruby Family Fire Relief

Aloha, my name is Michelle and we are fundraising for a dear friend and beloved member of our CB Island Vacations Ohana, Ruby Hosino and her family of six, soon to be seven. They lost their home and belongings to the fire in Lahaina last week. They were able to escape and are now safe, but the cost to start over and rebuild their lives will add up very quickly. Please help us raise money to ease this process for them as much as possible. Any amount is appreciated, as well as sharing this fundraiser with family and friends.

Ruby shared her heartbreaking experience earlier today:

"We were all taking a nap. Only one window was slightly cracked open in our house because it was SO SO windy. I woke up to the smell of fire and we looked out our window to see it RIGHT NEXT DOOR! My phone didn't alert us. No sirens. We scrambled for the kids, a container I already had packed with the kids' clothes and blankets from our camping trip that weekend, and ran down our completely dark stairway. Winds were so strong, we had to run against it. Literally scariest moment of my life! Just fearing for my kids' safety. Then we evacuate, just to find that both roads for us to exit from are CLOSED. So we were basically trapped on the bypass, left to watch the fires consume Lahaina."
