My name is Cathy and I have had the privilege of knowing the Rubio family for several years. They are a close, loving, hardworking family of 5 with 3 boys. Their lives changed in early January, 2022, when Jose was in a serious vehicle accident. He suffered severe injuries including breaks in his right leg from knee to ankle, the right hand was shattered and the left one with a broken wrist. He has had multiple surgeries so far, and he is not able to walk or use his hands. This leaves him unable to work and he was the main source of income to provide for his family. His son Daniel has had to stop working in order to assist his father, as Jose's wife Rosa has to work extra hours now to help the family get by. Their son Mark had to switch to night work to help out the family more. Their son David has had to get frequent counseling at school in order to deal with the trauma of seeing his father in this condition and his fear that his dad will not get better.

Please keep this family in your prayers as Jose has an extremely long road ahead. He will need physical therapy. Rosa is doing her best juggling kids, work and supporting Jose in any and every way possible. Financially this is going to be costly as Jose cannot return to work anytime soon.
