Rubin's Passing: Aid for Jackie's Care

It is with tremendous sadness that Michelle and I (Thomas) announce the passing of Michelle’s dad - Rubin Googe. He went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 27th, and it was very sudden and unexpected. Rubin was an amazing husband, father, Babas (grandfather), brother in Christ, and overall outstanding human being. He will be beyond missed by so many.

Rubin’s wife, Jackie, has been battling breast cancer for the past 8 years and has recently entered hospice care. He was her 24/7 caretaker and now Michelle, myself, and our 3 young boys have relocated into their home to help with taking care of this difficult task. The whole situation is so tragic, but we have already seen God moving in countless ways, and through so many of you.

There are substantial costs associated with Jackie’s care and bills that still need to be paid to keep her comfortable and in her home. We would appreciate any help that you may feel compelled to give. Every little bit will help in this trying time. Above all, we can use prayer and support for Michelle, Jackie, and our boys! Let’s remember what Rubin always said - “God’s in control!”
