Hello, my name is Kerry, and I’m the proud mama to six furbabies. Normally, we are able to cover all of our vet expenses without asking for help. This time, things are different.

Over the past 18 months, five of our beloved pets have required extensive vet treatment, surgery, and ongoing medications. Sadly, we lost two of them during that time. To help heal our hearts, we adopted three kittens from a rescue — one of them is Rubeus. He’s just under 18 months old, pure love, and has brought so much joy to our family after a long, difficult journey with our other furbabies.

Three weeks ago, Rubeus became very ill and needed surgery to remove a hairball blockage. His recovery was slow and required additional hospitalisation. Now, just weeks later, he is very unwell again. After two vet visits today — including blood tests, X-rays, and an ultrasound — we still don’t know the cause of his illness. Tomorrow, he will begin a new round of testing, which of course comes with more bills.

If you are able to help, any contribution would mean the world to us. We are desperate to give Rubeus some relief and get to the bottom of his illness so he can stay with us for many happy years.
