Ruben Cisneros Medical & Finances

Fort Worth Paramedic is back in the hospital and needs your help, PLEASE.

As most of you already know, Ruben is back in the hospital in rejection and now sepsis and his lungs aren't functioning like they are
suppose to. The left lung is only functioning at 23% and the right lung at 70%. Obviously he's very short of breath because of this. They are running many tests trying to figure out why this is happening. He's very sick right now. He's been in and out of the hospital for the last year  now but this time it's because his doctors at UTS found after running many tests that the steroids that he's been given to fight the rejection were actually making him sick. He'd go into the hospital about every 2-3 months and get massive doses of steroids to fight the rejection,
then feel a little better and go home and be ok for a few weeks, then the  steroids would start to wear off and he'd start to get sick again.
So his doctors have started him on a new drug to wipe out his immune system all together and it was suppose to stop the rejection, all the
pain he's in, his BP being very high with headaches and make him better but he's not responding to the meds like the doctors had hoped.
They are going to be giving him the max dose of this new medication IV over the next week in 12 hour intervals, hoping and praying it
works. They've started him on antibiotics for the sepsis and have more tests scheduled for him. He is very tired and just doesn't look good.  I went to see him yesterday with our daughter and he could barely stay awake. He's deteriorating right in front of me and there's nothing I
can do to help him medically, so I am starting the GFM up to ease his mind and worries. I'm using the one from 2 years ago since everyone
he knows is on it. So we are at zero right now. There was no place for me to put 20k,  that's why it shows 54, but it's for 20k. This is all I
know to do to try and help him at least not worry about
paying the mortgage and bills since he isn't working right now.  And if y'all know Ruben you know he worries about that. He really needs to retire but until we can pay our house off he said he has to keep working. I would like to ask if everyone could PLEASE keep Ruben in prayer.
He really needs it right now. I have been posting updates on my FB page for the last week to let everyone know how he's doing. And if y'all
could please share this it would so much be appreciated. Thank you to each and every one of you, Gail.

Edit: My husband has been a first responder paramedic for over 36 years now and still out there working on the frontlines despite this
pandemic and having a double lung transplant and him getting Covid last year and almost dying from it, but any of you that know Ruben
knows that's how he is, he loves his career and helping people.  He does NOT like asking for help so I am. He has helped save so many
live's during his time on the box (ambulance) and I know how much he is loved by everyone he comes in contact with. And I really
appreciate all of you that care for my husband like that. Thank you.

Fort Worth Paramedic Needs Your Help!

My husband, Ruben Cisneros who is a first responder, paramedic of 35 years with Medstar here in Fort Worth has been on the frontlines fighting this pandemic since it started is now in the hospital fighting for his life with Covid-19 and he had a double lung transplant 3 years ago. The doctors said if his breathing doesn't get better soon they will have to intubate him and if that happens he won't make it. I've had a lot of people asking to donate so they can help out with finances and said I should start a go fund me. He doesn't need to be worrying about this right now as he needs to concentrate on getting  better. Anyone that knows Ruben knows what a dedicated Paramedic he is, always going the extra mile to help everyone. Now he needs your help. He sacrifices his own life to be out there on the frontlines doing what he can to help us all get through this pandemic. He is paying for it now and maybe with his life.  Ruben loves what he does and he wouldn't have it any other way. He always says it's through God that he's able to do this job/career and it's God that gives him the knowledge and strength to save life's. He's been doing this for 35 plus years and this is all he knows & loves. He loves all his Medstar family as well as all the family at all the hospitals. Anyone that knows Ruben knows how strong he is. He has been through so much but it never got him down. He continued to do his job and continued on with life whenever a tragedy hit him/us our family. He is the bravest person I know and I can't loose him. Our little girl needs her daddy and I need my husband. PLEASE continue to pray for him. I know prayer works and there's power in prayer. I know there's so many people that love my husband and care for him. I am so thankful for y'all and all the love and support. We couldn't do any of this without y'all.

Thank you, Gail Cisneros
