To know the Armond family is to love them. Last week we lost Ruben tragically, and we graciously ask all who are able, to please donate. His wife has needed to return to work just days after his passing to keep supporting their family, so your support truly means the world.

Ruben Armond was a veteran, marine, and a wonderful father and husband. He grew up in New York and loved to travel, always supporting his family along the way. The few times I met Mr. Armond, he was standing at the doorway of their home, waving to me as I dropped off Anda from volleyball practice. He was always so grateful and kind.

Equally as hardworking is his daughter, Anda, who I love like a sister. Anda is a rising freshman, heading to UVA next year, who is truly sunshine. She works hard at school while also working part-time, and plays on the Albemarle High School varsity volleyball team. Everyone who knows Anda is aware of how selfless, generous, and hilarious she is. Always willing to do anything for a friend, and also ALWAYS able to make a friend laugh, the fact that she must grieve is heartbreaking. She spent the last few days with her dad in the hospital, holding his hand through it all.

These donated funds will be used to help the Armond family pay for time off work, cremation, and his funeral. Please consider spreading the word, and sending prayers to Anda and her family.
