In Loving Memory of Rubaire Smalls

Rubaire has dedicated the last 12 years of his life to working with at-risk youth in therapeutic and residential programs.  He has had such a strong ability to engage these youth, and at times many of these youth have considered him to be a father figure.  Within the last 2 years, Rubaire and his wife (Angela) have been blessed with two beautiful children of their own (Aiden and Carter).  If you asked Rubaire about the moments that he is most proud of, he would say becoming a father.  

Within the last 3 months, Rubaire has become critically ill and his health is rapidly declining.  After two long months of being hospitalized, most recently in intensive care, his physicians have formally determined that his diagnosis is lymphoma.  He will begin aggressive treatment immediately and his road to recovery will be slow.  Rubaire has not been able to work and his wife is in need of financial support to help pay monthly bills, purchase grocery, and cover childcare expenses for their two young sons.  As the intensive hospital care continues to be a necessity, it is also inevitable that this family will face the burden of having to pay significant hospital bills.
