Rescue Abandoned Animals

Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Xiomara and I've lived in South Florida for over 17 years but was born and raised in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. When I visit my family in Puerto Rico, residential streets are plagued with over 200k stray dogs, 300k cats, 5k horses, and 5k Vietnamese pigs. My goal is to raise money to establish a sanctuary in Puerto Rico where animals will be brought in and pet owners can bring their dogs and horses instead of setting them free in the streets. Is to also establish a strategic and systematic process whereby these animals are humanely captured and removed from the streets and safely delivered to the sanctuary. These animals will be fed, receive needed medical attention, and get spayed or neutered.
Imagine accidentally plowing into a pack of stray dogs, horses or pigs congregating in the middle of a dark road while driving! Or imagine your personal property being damaged by wild horses fighting! This problem is so prolific and egregious that I just could not ignore it anymore. I use to be a paralegal but gave up my full-time profession to follow my passion for saving animals in danger. I opened a nonprofit organization, Bendito Sato, Inc., to save abandoned horses and stray dogs in Puerto Rico as it's extremely overpopulated. I'm doing this on my own and would love your help and support in bringing awareness and solutions to this problem.
It's hard to imagine how bad the overpopulation crisis is in Puerto Rico's metro areas - it's out of control. Current laws in Puerto Rico force the euthanization of thousands of dogs every year. As the dog population increases, zoophobia sets in giving rise to stray animals being abused and left on the streets for dead. Puerto Rico is only 35 x 100 miles long but the issue of abandoned animals plagues this small island (further exacerbated by stray pigs and cats).
If owning a pet horse becomes too costly, or caring for them becomes burdensome, many owners simply set them free. The horses are left to roam freely in populated areas, banning together and creating a unique problem. When driving at night it is increasingly difficult to see them and many get hit, injured, and even cause fatal car accidents. In a very small section of the island, there is an approximately 3k- 5k stray horses with about eight per week being euthanized to control the excessive stray horse population. These horses need a place to go; they need a sanctuary. I not only want to save animals but human lives too. I deeply care and want to help. Please help me build a forever home.
I thank you kindly,
Xiomara
