Support Andrea’s Fight Against Brain Tumor

Hi, my name is Monica, and I am Andrea’s youngest sister. I am setting this fundraiser up because I love and admire my big sis, and right now she needs and deserves all the support she can get during this incredibly difficult time.

On the evening of Sunday, March 9th, Andrea suddenly experienced seizures, prompting our dad to rush her to the Hutchinson ER. A CT scan revealed a golf ball-sized tumor, and she was immediately transferred in the middle of the night to HCMC in Minneapolis.

On Wednesday, March 12th, Andrea underwent brain surgery in hopes of removing as much of the tumor as possible. We are still awaiting pathology results, and while we remain hopeful, she has a long road to recovery ahead. 

Andrea was unprepared for the staggering medical expenses she now faces. As she continues her recovery and ongoing treatment, her inability to drive presents a significant challenge. Due to her recent seizures, she is restricted from driving for the next three months, making it impossible for her to commute to work. As an English teacher in a rural town an hour from home, this loss of mobility means she is unable to earn a living during this critical time.
