Study Abroad in Germany

My name is Jared Garcia and I am sophomore at Sunnyside High School.  I am trying to raise money to purchase my plane ticket to study abroad in Berlin, Germany this June 2018. I was awarded a scholarship to study language and culture through CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange.  I moved to the United States from Mexico when I was 13. Since being here I have learned so much about the American culture. It  hassparked an interest in me which is why I applied to study in yet another country.  Learning about other people and cultures is important to me and I know this experience is going to change my life.  Although I won the scholarship that pays for my program, my family and I cannot afford the plane ticket and spending money it will take to allow me to have this experience.  I am reaching out to friends, family, teachers, and strangers to help me make this dream become a reality.  Thank you in advance for any donation you are willing to share with me.
