Help bring Tinkerbus to Maine!
Fiddlehead's Summer Camps filled in record time, leaving many families frustrated that they couldn't get in. As a non-profit, we want to bring our programming to as many people as possible, so we got creative...we bought a bus! We are raising money to help cover the costs of bringing the Tinkerbus home to Maine from where it started in California.
The Tinkerbus is a 26ft school bus that has been converted into a STEAM lab/classroom. We will be able to utilize it as another project space this summer, thus allowing more children to attend camps.
Looking beyond summer, Tinkerbus will be a wonderful way for us to expand programming to the greater Portland area, we can take our unique STEAM-aligned programming to schools and libraries that may not have access to robust enrichment activities.
All proceeds will go to fund Tinkerbus as it makes the 3200-mile journey across the United States. Any donation will have a direct impact: $25 will cover the cost of tolls, $50 will help fill the fuel tank, and $100 can cover lodging for our tired driver.
Thanks in advance for your contribution and for becoming part of the Tinkerbus story.
