I’m putting an order in for Our Fixed plant team to get some Pink and Blue Shirts to help spread awareness for Breast cancer foundation and Beyond Blue.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation is Australia’s leading national body funding world-class, game-changing breast cancer research. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. Approximately 55 Australians are diagnosed every day. In 2021 alone, over 3000 Australians passed away from breast cancer including 36 males, and 3102 females. That’s 9 people a day dying from the disease. NBCF proceeds go towards funding research to help identifying, funding and championing world class research that will help detect tumors earlier, improved treatment outcomes. Their mission is simple: Zero Deaths by breast cancer by 2030.
Did you know on average 1 in 8 men, and 1 in 6 woman will experience depression at some stage in their life. And 1 in 5 men, and 1 in 3 woman will experience anxiety. Trying to go at it alone when you’re feeling down increases the risk of depression or anxiety going unrecognised and untreated. Effectively managing your mental health can give you significant improvements in your quality of life, increase your capacity to support your family and your mates, and let you perform at your best. Beyond Blue plays a lead role in the national effort to promote mental health and wellbeing and prevent suicide through research, information, advice and support, and advocacy.
So let’s come together and get some Pink and blue shirts to help spread awareness, and donate some money into these foundations.
Shirts are $60 each. And will include your embroidered name. With some proceeds being donated into both foundations. Additional donations are welcome.
