With broken hearts, we share the loss of our sweet Nixon. Nixon was 12 years old and spent his life courageously battling a rare and devastating mitochondrial disease, a condition that affects the body’s ability to produce energy and impacts multiple organs and systems. From a very young age, Nixon lived with complex medical needs and disabilities, enduring more hospital visits, treatments, and challenges than any child ever should.

Despite everything his body carried, Nixon’s spirit never wavered. He was brave beyond measure, strong through pain most will never understand, and full of love. He loved martial arts, his superheroes, and being a proud big brother to Aria. He fought every day with determination, heart, and a light that touched everyone who knew him. Nixon was and will always be a true hero.

This GoFundMe has been created to support Nixon’s parents, Jess and Kyle, and his sister Aria during this unimaginable time. Funds raised will go toward end-of-life and memorial expenses, easing the loss of income, and allowing their family the space to grieve, be together, and focus on healing while supporting Aria as they begin life without their beloved son and brother.
