Dear Community,

On Wednesday February 21, 2024 around 3am. Ruby and Jose Davalos's son woke up because he felt someone tap his shoulder (no one was there when he looked…they believe it was an angel watching over them) and as he glanced towards the window in his room, he noticed that the heat lamp for the puppies was emitting an unusual orange hue. He ran downstairs to discover that the sunroom and back door were on fire. They called 911 and by the time they all ran outside, all the windows were exploding and the house was engulfed in flames. Unfortunately, the Davalos family not only lost their home, but one of their female German Shepards and her 10 puppies, as well as their Quaker bird. Thankfully, Jose, Ruby and their children escaped unharmed.

As Jose is a trusted and longtime trade partner of Copper Sky, we feel a deep sense of responsibility and personal connection that compels us to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with him and his family during this challenging time. The fire not only destroyed their home and stripped away their belongings but also threw their lives into disarray in ways that may be difficult for us to fully grasp. As they navigate the aftermath, urgent assistance is required to help them reconstruct what was lost.
