MVHS Girls Soccer 2024

Our Girls Soccer program continues to be at the forefront of the Bay Area High School Soccer scene, and we have an exciting season ahead. In the last 12 years, the Spartan Girl's Soccer team has won 5 CCS Championships, 8 SCVAL titles, and appeared in the NorCal regional tournament multiple times. This year we return several Varsity players from a year ago looking to build on the Tradition, Discipline, and Commitment of prior Spartan squads annually ranked among the top 10 in Northern California.

Our players are incredible students who have found success at MVHS! We carry an overall weighted Team GPA greater than 4.0 (!) and are involved with numerous philanthropic clubs all over campus. We believe success is not just measured in wins and losses but by the team’s ability to exemplify the core values of respect, integrity, cooperation, teamwork, self-discipline, sportsmanship, and citizenship. It is a privilege to teach and coach at a school where an environment that represents these values is thriving. We have 5-6 current seniors who will be playing on college soccer rosters next fall and 100% of our wonderful 2024 senior class will be attending a four-year University.

The cost of providing necessary uniforms, equipment, and technology continues to grow. We play in the winter months and cold weather gear is needed for both our Varsity and Junior Varsity teams along with updates to our JV uniform kits which are about 8 years old. With the annual expectations our program has due to prior successes, we also have future opportunities to travel outside of our home area and play higher profile games or tournaments. All student athletes play soccer at MVHS for free and so we rely on program donations to make us go.

Our goal is to provide our student athletes with the best opportunities possible to showcase their abilities at the highest level. We will need your help and are asking for a tax-deductible donation to our program. Money received in this year’s fundraiser will go toward purchase of the following in 2024-25:

New Varsity Uniform Home & Away Kits for 2025 - $3500

New JV Warm Up Sweat Tops - $1000

Team Dinners and Misc Travel Costs during Playoffs - $750

New Soccer Balls and Goal Nets - $1000

Tournament Fees - $750

Total = $7,000
