Me and my fiancé have trusted his family too often, including on stuff like housing. We've been renting from his family. They know that we've been struggling. They led us to believe they would allow us to purchase the home we're renting on their property, to be close to family. They've been using us to shovel, mow lawns, and feed animals— all kinds of things for them. Suddenly, they decided they don't care about that anymore, even going so far as to refuse to tell us why because, in their words, we would 'resent them more' for their choices.
My fiancé's mother is twisting scripture on us, trying to be manipulative, telling us all about forgiveness when they know we're in a bad spot. They haven't ever really cared about us in any format and have caused nothing but issues. They're realistically horrible people.
But now I have to scramble. I'm desperately trying to raise enough money for a down payment on a mobile home so I won't be homeless again for a second time. I haven't ever been able to trust people, and my own family left me homeless once before.
We're doing our best, and I still work full-time. It's just an incredibly hard spot right now. I'm trying very hard to raise as much as I can in a short amount of time.
Commission work and all sorts of things on top of my job have helped, but we still need more help. Please consider donating so me and my fiancé don't have to go through another heartbreaking struggle. We're already having to decide what happens to our pets, who are family to us.
