My mom is facing one of the toughest challenges of her life after being diagnosed with HPV related cervical cancer on the 22nd of October.

HPV is something people don't even realise that they have and like so many others, she had no major symptoms and no indication the virus had caused damage. Hearing that it had progressed to cancer was devastating.

While this news has been incredibly hard on our family, she continues to face each day with a courage and strength that inspires everyone around her.

She is someone who spent her whole life putting love into the world, a daughter who gave her all to caring for her mother with Alzheimer's for the last number of years. Who earlier this year went into a care home due to complex needs. A mother who shows up, who listens, who supports and gives without expecting anything in return. Whether it's family, friends or even someone she just met she has always been the person who brings comfort and warmth wherever she goes.

As she is set to begin her treatment in early December of chemo/radiation every share and donation will help ease the pressure of facing a difficult Christmas ahead and instead allow her to put her energy into healing and staying strong.
