Urgent Cancer Treatment Needed
Donation protected
Andy Rawlinson is a serving police officer, doting husband to Jess, a practising midwife, adoring father to Noah and much loved son.
In 2017 when his son was 2 years old , he found a lump on his neck. At first this was diagnosed as enlarged lymph nodes due to a cold, but within a week the enlarged lymph nodes grew from a pea to the size of a plum and he was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
The NHS were amazing and acted very quickly. Andy went through various rounds of chemotherapy and due to the nature of the cancer it was able to be shrunk and Andy went into remission. He was discharged from surveillance at St Richard’s Hospital in 2022.
In October 2023, Andy started getting pain in his abdomen, and at first this was diagnosed as gallstones but after a visit to A&E in November, a CT Scan revealed that there is a tumour in his right kidney, Adrenal Gland and also the lymph nodes that go to the heart.
Unfortunately due to NHS waiting lists, the biopsy he desperately needs can’t be done until the new year. If the tumour is a recurrent lymphoma, the doctors have said that time is precious, so the quicker the biopsy is done, the sooner any possible treatment can be started giving him the best chance.
This crowd funding page aims to fund a private biopsy and go towards any treatment Andy might need.
We appreciate that this is the start of a difficult journey this beautiful family have already been on but hope that taking away this financial worry will alleviate at least some of their stress.
Any support, no matter how big or small, will be so incredibly appreciated.
