Hello,
My name is Daniela - first off I want to express how grateful I am to have the opportunity to be here seeking for your helping hand!
On August 25th my fiancée and I traveled to Oregon for a family wedding not knowing the events that would follow. Overnight I woke up feeling chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, migraines, weakness, etc.. We rushed to the nearest ER and upon medical workup the physicians decided to transfer me 2.5 hrs away by ambulance to a bigger medical center for intensive unit care. On the way there my health began to deteriorate as I went into cardiogenic shock. The paramedics had to divert to a different hospital midway to intubate me before making it to the ICU. They diagnosed me with takotsubo cardiomyopathy. After a week in the hospital I was discharged to family in the area awaiting for the cardiologist to clear me to fly back home to Texas once my heart function improved.
Unfortunately, 3 days later I had to return to the ER due to migraines, vomiting, and high blood pressure. Coincidentally during the workup they found some blood clots and this time I was airlifted to the same ICU to rule out blood clots in my brain. By the grace of God my brain imaging was clear but I remain in the hospital seeking treatment for the blood clots and awaiting for my heart to strengthen.
I am asking for financial help to cover medical costs as well as travel/lodging cost for my family that has taken time off work to be by my side. No donation is too little nor will go unnoticed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
